Adding Some
Teak Accessories

It seems that after a day's sail that the chart table becomes cluttered with the likes of the handheld VHF, handheld GPS, hand bearing compass etc.

I found a source (Thai Teak Ltd.) online. They are located in Bankok and came highly recommended by friends. Prices are very reasonable but air shipment can get quite pricey. Even with the high shipping costs the total still came out cheaper than anything comparable that I could find elsewhere.

The quality of the items was excellent and they were well packaged for shipment. No sanding was even necessary prior to varnishing.

After the requisite six coats of Petit Captain's Varnish I applied adhesive backed red felt to some of the items prior to installing them aboard Early Light.

Below are a few photos of some of the items installed.
